Buy a new MBP, or upgrade drive?

I bought a 17" MBP in June '07, and while it still works fine, I was kind of looking at either replacing it, or do some very hardcore upgrading work on my current MBP to make it age slower.

I love the Unibody design, but I was waiting for two things before I buy another MBP: USB3 and Blu-Ray.

So, should I wait for these things to appear on a MBP, or should I simply look at upgrading my current MBP's hard drive?
