Buy a song on someone else's iPhone?

Is it possible for me to sign in with my iTunes account on my friends iPhone, buy a song for her and then sign out again? Or will this give me trouble with iTunes authorization or something?

Why don't you just "gift" it? Does that work with other media besides Apps?

To my knowledge there is no way to do this from the phone. You would have to be logged in with your iTunes account.

I would, but I can't "gift" anything with iTunes store credit and that's currently the only payment option I've got.

Try it and see what happens.

I will, I just thought that maybe someone knew for sure that it would or would not be possible. I'm pretty sure that when I try to do this with Apps, I'd need to authorize the computer she's syncing with and my iTunes ID would be needed every time an update needs to be installed.
