Buy an Iphone 3GS now or wait?

So I am looking to get an Iphone. I know the rumor is that the newer Iphone is coming out in June/July time frame, but I only wanna spend like 199 on the phone, and I know it might be around 499 when it first comes out.

What do you think, is it gonna be that much better? worth 300 more?

Where are you getting that number from? You can almost be certain that the base model will be no more than $199

I was thinking about getting the iPhone 16GB 3GS, should I wait for the new model, are we thinking it will release in June/July, will the features be that much more impressive?

$499 was/is the unsubsidized price for the 8GB iPhone 3G after the release of the 3GS I believe, so as long as you're eligible for an upgrade, you'll be all set.

Agreed, WWDC starts a month from today, and we can probably put money on the fact that they will announce and possibly even release the next phone then.
