For weeks been thinking about purchasing Apple TV. My current tv OS is Android tv and it’s great. I am in the Apple ecosystem already and buying Apple TV is a plus. My only problem keeping me away from buying Apple TV is the device have high chance hardware updated for 2020.

I've been reading rumors that a new one is going to drop very soon. I bet we see a new one in June, so I would suggest to wait.

If your Android TV system is working great - why do you want to buy the Apple TV? What incremental benefit do you see for the expensive Apple TV?

I have the Apple TV TV app on my Samsung, and the experience is nowhere near as good as the actual ATV so idk if thats a real alternative for most people
Thank you...that’s useful. I’m planing to buy a 4K (current or coming one) for my daughter and her husband, to hook up to their Samsung smart-ass TV, so it’s nice to know there’ a purpose in getting one. We are still very happy with our HD ATV.

I am in the Apple ecosystem and buying Apple TV is beneficial for me. I barrow my friends Apple TV and I love it. Nothing wrong with having multiple tv os. Android tv is great stand alone like smart tv but none is connected to my multiple Apple devices in my home.

With WWDC right around the corner I’m not buying anything at all.

(I know the probability of an ARM MacBook is very low, but I’m delaying my MacBook Pro purchase just in case.)

I'm in the same boat. I want to add one to one of our TVs, and ready to do it now... but don't want to do so and then have a new one come out a week later. Given WWDC in June, I may just return it and wait until then. If its coming soon, I'd guess it will be revealed at WWDC at this point.
