Is this possible? Will streaming apps be restricted by location?

Yep works fine but by the time you factor in sales tax its not worth it tbh...
I have a US and a HongKong one (ATV3s) all working fine. you set the location or country during the setup.

What if you take your Apple TV with you on vacation? Since it already has your US iTunes info will it let you stream from the cloud?

Yes it will. I use my US account on my AppleTV here in the UK and it works just fine.

Depends, some things are country specific..which is different from above.

it'll be a different power cable. Doest the UK have a different port than the US?
