Carrier Buy ATT Prepaid Phone and add to PostPaid Plan

Hello,

It seems that one can buy a prepaid iPhone from BestBuy (for ATT) and use an existing ATT Postpaid plan SIM and use the device without any issues. However, the posts that I've seen are several months old and was wondering if this is still true.

The phone also comes with a Airtime card. I'm assuming that this card can be used towards any phone, perhaps I can sell the card on Craigslist, can I?

Also, for ATT prepaid iPhone, one has to have 6 mo service before ATT unlocks the phone. In the above scenario, will ATT ever unlock the Prepaid iPhone?
