I just ordered a Refurb 20" iMac C2D today. With any product, especially with the secrecy of Apple, I'd say buy now if you need it, if you can wait a little longer, than do so. If you don't need it that much, you could wait until MWSF on January 9-12 but there probably won't be an iMac update there anyway. The next "big" revision to the iMac will probably include an updated video card and Intel's Santa Rosa platform.
Santa Rosa??? So Quad Core!?
Huh? Santa Rosa is an Intel platform, like "Centrino" is now. Santa Rosa would use Intel Core 2 Duo with better integrated graphics and probably include flash memory for faster startup etc. I doubt the iMacs will use quad-core anytime soon.![]()
No.I think iMacs will be quad core by q4 '07
Oh, by "anytime soon" I meant by Q2 2007 (a.k.a. when Santa Rosa comes out).
Ah. Well, time goes by so fast, one year seems VERY soon.
It does. I think the older you are the faster it seems to go.

Congrats on the new iMac psycoswimmer, and I must say that I agree with your advice.![]()
Congrats on the new iMac.
