Buy internet or salesperson?

Does anyone have an opinion on whether it is better to purchase a MacPro from the official Apple internet store, or from a salesperson on the telephone located in Texas? I'm going to buy the MacPro 8 core tomorrow so I hope I can decide very soon. The salesperson said he can give a 3% discount and it would take about a week. Thanks in advance.

Have you checked the Amazon.com price on the model you're looking at? They usually sell Mac's at a slight discount off of retail and you can save on sales tax as well, which is significant on a $3K purchase!

Or what about the refurbs on the Apple webstore?

I'd trust either one of those places more than a salesman on the telephone in Texas!
