iPad Buy iPad in the US - get support in Germany?

I'm from Germany and currently visit Florida.
I'd like to buy an iPad Air here and take it with me to Germany.
But if the iPad gets damaged, does Apple help me as usual in Germany? Does the iPad get treated like the usual iPad bought in Germany within the 1year of Apple warranty?
