Hello,
I know this has been asked many times, but I wanted to ask if it's still possible.
I like the new iPhone 4 and am planning to upgrade from my iPod touch 16gig 1st gen. Since it's not in my country yet, and because when it comes here it will be around 3 to 4 times the price in other countries, I want to get it from elsewhere.
My idea is, let's say a friend in US, UK, Germany or France goes to an Apple store or a store of T-Mobile, At&t, orange... and buys an iPhone for me, I get it here, jailbreak it, unlock it and so on. Will the mobile operators make the person sign a contract in place or in any other way tie him to pay bills or subscriptions, and this way ruining my plan?
I have friends in USA, England and Scotland and in Germany (no one in France, I think, but I'm planning a trip to Paris this summer!), so will they be able to buy one and send it to me?
