Hello everyone.
I am going to be getting a new iPhone for my bday in December to replace my 4S. I actually am pretty happy with my 4S, but I am planning on getting the Apple Watch and so I am going to be getting the 5c or 5S. So, I could get a used iPhone 5c for around $300. But, I might be able to switch to T Mobile and get a 5s from T Mo for either $450 or $350, depending on how much I would get for my 4s trade in from T Mobile.
So, should I get the 5S or the 5C?

5s all the way. Phone is a beast. This is the first year I haven't preordered the new release because I'm 100% satisfied with how this phone runs.

Can't say from experience if it runs any different but the 5c is running older specs and therefore won't be quite as future-proof.

I'm sure you could buy a 5S privately for $350-$450 without doing anything with your 4S. Then you could probably sell your 4S for $150-200 depending on condition etc.

But I would go for the 5S over the 5C for sure.

5S. It's got touchid so it may work with Apple Pay using the watch. Plus it's faster and will last longer with the more up to date hardware. It's simply a better phone. If you can afford it, it's an easy choice.

I've seen people selling their 5S for under $300 (16GB versions). There will be a flood of them after the 6 and 6 plus actually launch. I would personally go that route. The 5C was basically already a one year old model the day it launched, effectively making it two years old. The 5S is one year old in about a week, and will certainly last you as long (or longer) as your 4S did.

5S. I just upgraded from the 4S to the 5S and it's an amazing phone. The TouchID is a great feature. I've had the 5S less than 2 weeks and I already find myself trying to unlock my iPad by putting my finger on the home button, lol.

Actually I won't be selling the 4s, I'll be getting a trade in from T Mobile if I end up switching to them. So it would make the $550 5s either $450 or $350 depending on how much the trade in is worth.

Ohh I got it. Definitely go with 5S though!

If you can get a 5S for $50 more than 5S I'd do that. For $150 more I'd go with the 5C

That does make sense that the prices will drop once the 6 launches. I might just end up getting a used 5S for $350 if I can find one for that price; though if T Mo offers me $200 for the 4S I'll probably go that route.
