Any reason i should get my iPhone from the Apple online store, or the ATT store? I will go to ATT this weekend, but fear i will be getting an old one, where as the apple online store will take shipping time. Anything i should look out for with the ones from the att store. Also, does the 14 day no questions return policy apply to att stores as well, or does it have to go back to apple? also, if i return it, does it have to go back to an att store that sells them, where as i have a closer store that doesn't sell them?

thansk

I really do not think it makes a difference. If you do decide to get from ATT make sure you ask them about the 14 day return policy just to cover yourself.

i say buy from apple store or online and skirt att altogether. if there is a problem i doubt att will be as easy to hand over a new phone like at an apple store. if there isn't one near you, well, get it from att and you can always just do the apple>phone call>replacement deal which is what i think att store employees would tell you to do anyway. I haven't heard of att employees swaping out phones for you in store.

I think it matters not if you buy from Apple or AT&T, if you've got a problem with it, take it to the apple store. Unless of course in the 14 days you decide "screw it, I hate AT&T and the iPhone", then I'm pretty sure you can cancel your contract and return the phone, although you'd probably have to pay a restocking fee.

It really depends on how soon you want your iPhone, if you want it right away i would purchase it from the AT&T store however if you need it serviced you would have to return it back to Apple and not to the AT&T store or if you are close to an Apple retail store i would buy the iPhone from there or at Apple.com most likely you'll get the newer stock of iPhones if you buy from Apple.com or the Apple retail store they sell more iPhones than the AT&T stores do.

well saying i am going to the att store, any way seeing th ebox i can tell if it is a new product or if it has been sitting around for a while?

Theres really no way to tell if the iPhones at the AT&T stores have been sitting around for a while unless you look at the build week most the recent build weeks people are buying at the Apple stores are week 40 and 41's however you still could get an older build week just like I did when i exchanged my defective week 38 iPhone at the Apple store for a week 35.

personally

Id say buy it from the apple store because I know they would be more knowledgeable on the fact of what version the iphone is and ask them about the 14 day return policy and ATT about it, get both side answers on it.

I personally would get it in the store... but then again I am to impatient to wait on it shipping. ;)

If I where you I would try and find the nearst apple store cause if your planning on buyng a iPhone now alot of the new iPhones have bad screens where blacks dont look black and things of that nature so your better off buying at a actual apple store where if your having a problem with it they won't look at you like your dumb or something.

It hurts my grammar muscle to read this sentence.

Well the apple store is kind of far away, so i'm going to get it at the ATT store, but if there is a problem i'll trek it over to the apple place and have them fix it. I had to mail in my MBP and i don't like to wait long.

well i got my iphone from an AT&T store and it's perfect,:D it's also a week 28 and my screen is mint....only way i'm giving up this phone is if someone steals it.

If you are not already with AT&T you might as well get your iPhone from the AT&T store.
Apple won't give you a nice new Motorola for every phone line in your new account.
The extra phone is nice as a backup, to give away or to sell.
