Buy iTunes Products in 8.1?

Correct me if I am wrong, but this is the first time I remember seeing this in iTunes. Is this new? The link goes to a page on Apple.com (Apple.com/itunes/buy) that is currently a 404.

It's here in iTunes 8.0.2, never noticed it before either.
Seems a little odd...

Looks like a new feature. Nice really. Have the songs, now they sell you the player for it, right from the same program
