Hi,
I am planning to visit australia this month.
I would like a friend (resident) to buy the MacBook Air and ill collect it from him and take it back to India
Now he will make the payment, (apple id and name will be mine) address will he his

Is it possible for me to avail the TRS GST refund?
Will the name on the invoice or any factor affect the refund process.
The refund will go to .. him or me (i provide my card at the counter

No. You won't be able to claim the gst refund.

"Tax invoices for purchases of $1000 or more must contain additional information, such as the name and address of the purchaser."

Agreed, i did read about this clause. So at the TRS counter, will me providing his name, address (and perhaps australian bank account) work?
