MacBook Pros were refreshed only 4 months ago, plus the September event is only ever for iPods and anything else to do with the iTunes/media.

Wouldn't hurt to wait a week if you can, but I seriously doubt there'll be an update before December/January. I hope not at least... I like mine being the "current" gen.
