It has been puzzling me for days...

My major is Industrial Engineering, and I am not quite sure what software will be most frequently used, but I am pretty certain I don't play computer games, and only occasionally I would use programs like Aperture or Photoshop, etc.

My budget would be $2000, so 373 might suits me. What about replacing the SATA HD Drive with the SSD one? Will there be any significant boost in the performance???

I'd go for the cheaper MacBook Pro and put the money that you saved into buying a SSD. The SSD will give you a much more appreciable difference in use.
