Buy new MacPro with single xeon, and add another?

i was just wondering if it has been confirmed that you can order the single, and add in your own second 2.8 quad core xeon later ?


im thinking about buying, but the high end model with 2 cpu's is crazy expensive

Heat sink ~$100

$500.00 saved up front will cost $850.00 on the back end, at current pricing. Even with a deep price cut in the future, still more expensive.
