I have a 80GB iPod video (white). I like its good looks but its HD is too small. Currently, the biggest HD that will fit is 160GB by Samsung for $200.
I know it doesn't worth much so I don't really want to sell it. It is in MINT (like new) condition, really.

Before you vote, keep in mind that Apple is moving away from White products. If I upgrade to drive, I will have the only 160GB VINTAGE white iPod.

The other side of me is saying not to throw more money it. what are your thoughts and what would you do?

I'd say just get a new 160GB iPod classic and be done with it. It's not worth the hassle to put a new drive in your iPod, and I'm not sure if it's even possible. If you're really attached to you're 80GB Video then just keep both.

imo that was the worst gen ipod, with its super scratchy surface and dated interface. You should get rid of it. The 1g and 3g ipods are probably the most collectable.
