Hey everyone. I'm looking at selling my Atrix and getting an Iphone 4.

The reason for this is I will be going to China to live there for 6 months to a year, and I've read online that the fastest way to communicate back here is through face time. My parents use a mac so it will work that way. Also the Iphone has an international texting app that i can use in China it will give me a Canadian number.

So given this should I save money, but the Iphone 4 or wait for the Iphone 5? I like the design of the Iphone 4, and I can always upgrade to Iphone 6 when I come back to Canada.
 
In April or May I would have said go for it, but right now it would honestly be unintelligent to purchase an iPhone 4 with the general consensus being that there is a new iPhone being released within the next 1-2 months.
 
If you have the disposable income then buy one.

I bought the iphone 4 a couple of months ago and dont regret it.

Im not locked to any contract so own the phone outright.

If the iphone 5 offers way more than the ip4 then a buying I will go.
If not i'll stick with the ip4.
 
I have the income. I was also thinking that if I lost the Iphone 5 in China it would be worse to me than losing the Iphone 4. And also if I got the 4 then I would get the 6 when I come home. if I got the 5 than I would have to wait till Iphone 7. I think I may just get the Iphone 4, it just makes more since to me.
 
Wait. Then when you're done, wait some more. Then after that, wait some more.

(seems to be the trend this year anyway)

You're probably always going to want the newer model. So if you get the 4 now you'll want the 5 when it comes out and if you get the 5 you'll want the 6 but you say you have to wait till 7. It's probably better to wait though since you'll get more out of the 5
 
I found a mint Iphone 4 on kijiji. Going to trade it for my Atrix most likely plus he is going to give me $100 cash, which will take care of buying out my contract.

My ethos is if one always put off a purchase to wait for the next new item out , then you would never actually make a purchase !!
