Im in dire need of a macbook pro and can't wait a month.

If i purchase one today and use it, can it still be turned in after 1 month for the new Haswell macbook pro retina as per their upgrade rule?

Remember, the current retinas have scroll lag. Why would you even want to have a "brand new retina macbook pro" knowing that it is going to have scrolling issues until Mavericks comes out?

A way overblown issue that doesn't really impact most users.

False at worst, overblown at best.

The current rmbp is an excellent choice right now depending on the user's needs.

As they said, 14 days is the limit, but why don't you select a model that can be easily sold in a month? You'll lose a couple hundred bucks or so, but...

What makes you "need" it? Im sure you have another computer that is perfectly fine until it is released.

I've heard most people who do not have cMBP don't "notice" it, but apparently if you use both side by side... the cMBP has better/smoother scrolling than the rMBP.

I would not doubt that. More pixels makes it more choppy. It requires better GPU power.

Unless you have an Apple gift card, buy it at Best Buy. If you're an elite or elite plus member you have 30 or 45 days. If not then you only have 15 days which if that's the case then you're better off buying it at an Apple store. There is also no restocking fee.

If you need it right now, buy a refurbished unit from Apple, save some money and use it for a few years.
