Hey guys.

So i've just sold my older Macbook Pro, and am about to order an iMac. Just a much more comfortable work station and stuff, and since my MBP was a couple years old (2.33 Ghz, ATI X1600) i thought it might be time for an upgrade.

Originally i was looking at this system:
2.8 Ghz Core 2 Duo
24-inch glossy widescreen display
2GB memory
320GB hard drive
8x SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO with 256MB memory
Built-in iSight Camera

First of all, how good of a system is this? I tried looking around and couldn't really verify the quality of the GPU and such. Is it going to be a big step up from the X1600? Plus it's the older DDR2 Ram, and this system maxes out at 4GB of it. This was the system I was looking at anyway, just because it seemed alright, and the low price point ($1399 Refurbished from the Apple Store)

So then I was checking on Craigslist, and it looks like every little while this system pops up for around $1400:

2.93 Ghz
24-inch glossy widescreen display
4GB memory
640GB hard drive
8x SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 with 256MB memory

This system will still be under the first year of warranty, meaning I could still pick up Applecare for it.

How much better is that system going to be (Some gaming (WoW, The Sims 3, would like to play Bioshock if possible), video and audio editing using Final Cut Studio, some Adobe Creative Suite programs, etc.)

So is it worth waiting until the right one pops up on craigslist, or should I just go for the $1399 system?

Thanks for the help!
