Call me crazy, but does anyone think this is a good idea?

I want a mbp. I want a mbp now. I also want the 2012 mbp.

Sooo my evil genius plan is to buy one now.. See if they will extend the return policy.. Then return it... Then buy a new one.. Then repeat over and over until the next one is released.

Thoughts?

I think your "douchebag behavior pre-detector" may be broken. Luckily you have the forum to help try keep you out of harm's way. ;)

lol, idk if you'd want to go through all the hassle, unless Apple Store/Target/Wallmart is right next door.
If all three shops are available around you, then why don't you give it a shot at each store, (14 days return policy for Apple) but I would say it's pretty unethical, and not worth the trouble.

Buy one now, and be happy with what you get. If you know you'll regret after getting one, then wait for the next one, but remember that the waiting game never ends.

Haha be nice now. This was a late night idea that I couldn't get out of me head. Of course I was never going to actually do this. I am far to lazy to do that. I just thought it was an interesting idea.

I think the restocking fee will basically kill you, paying 10% each time...

You will get blocked from returns at one point.

I recommend you lease or don't buy stuff you can't pay

or stop being a troll...

It's because of stuff like this that Costco reigned in their extraordinary return policy. I remember one of my buddies had a PC nearly two years old that failed. He brought it in and they replaced it with a new one.

Yeah Costco is insane. My dad bought a GPS from them when we lived in the States back in 2006ish, then in 2008 we moved to Canada and it broke, so my dad brought it into Costco...without the receipt...and they replaced it for him. :p

There are no apple restocking fees now. That means you have to do this every 14 days and on the 12th day or so, you would have to copy the hard drive for the next one. You also won't have any time at all to do anything meaningful.

This isn't a rental program. You can never keep up with technology.

Was this after you sobered up or was this after receiving all the downvotes?
