Just wandered if after the release date shipping times will be different.

It may not matter, as a matter of fact, you may find your ship date to be further out after the 21st launch.

The sooner you order it the sooner you will get it. there is no way people ordering next week will get it before people who order today - go on do it now you know you want to......

Given the volume of purchases, if you wait until next week, your ship time will be pushed out a few weeks. I say if you want want, get the order in now.

If you don't care about having it the first day, common sense is to wait for initial reviews on any new products prior to purchase. We all know what happened with iPhone 4 Antennagate. Waiting will help you avoid having to personally deal with any issues.
