Buy Unlocked iPhone 4s or Unlocked iPhone 5?

Hello. Well, I'm trying to decide what would be a smarter idea and cheaper in the long run.

I have two options:

1. Buy iPhone 4s ($300) unlocked and either a) wait for the 5s to come out and then get the 5 for cheaper or b) keep it till the i6 if I enjoy it.

or

2. Buy the iPhone 5 ($420~470) unlocked and probably keep it till I like it or something worthwhile comes along.

Any ideas? Thanks!
I'm leaning toward option 1 because I'll be saving a lot and from a little research I can see that the 4s and the 5 don't have many differences.

Why not just save your coin and wait till the new phone is released and make your mind up then. Save a lot and only buy 1 phone.

I would do that, but I don't want to pay another month of Metro PCS (my carrier now) and If I don't, I'll lose my phone number.

iPhone 5:
-Faster
-LTE
-Better camera
-Bigger screen

It's up to you if want to save ~$100 and go with the 4S, which is a few months away from being 2 generations old.
