Buy Verizon for AT&T?

I'm looking to buy a Verizon CDMA phone to use with AT&T because I would like to have 4G speeds internationally. What would the best method be? Would I have to find someone on Verizon to give me their early upgrade? What are the pros and cons to doing this?

I don't think you will get AT&T LTE on a Verizon iPhone.
