I am wanting to purchase zbrush. My concern is the issues with the mac release being well behind the windows release in history. Is this issue solved yet? Also does one platform run it better than the other? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Buy zbrush for mac or windows?

I did a bit of looking and it appears the complaints about differences between the Windows and OS X versions of Zbrush date from version 3. The current version is 4 and Zbrush offers a "cross platform" feature where you can purchase the second platform for half price. If you tried the OS X version and found it lacking, I wouldn't be surprised if they let you deactivate it and get the windows version instead but I would ask before you buy either one.
