Buyer’s Guide says: Don’t buy Apple… yet!

So here I am, in the market for a new Apple computer, and thanks to the wonderful help I get from MacRumors (Forums, History, Buyer’s Guide, etc.), I was able to decide the following based upon my needs:

1 – iMac 27” i7 vs Mac Pro: I chose Mac Pro because of its awesome power, it's upgradable, and so on. Guide says “DON’T BUY”, upgrades soon!”

2 – I need a display. 24” is nice, but I really want that 27” LED that the iMac uses. 30” is too expensive (and old); 24” is too small of an alternative in comparison. No 27” available yet. Guide says “DON’T BUY”, upgrades soon!”

3 – Looking for a second MacBook Pro, same story: “DON’T BUY”, upgrades soon!”

LOL! I hate waiting! Oh well… hopefully good old Steve can give us some nice products coming up (March 2nd I hope). Who knows, maybe he can throw in Blue-Ray adoption, Final Cut Studio 4 (multicore optimized) and a nice reduction on the overall prices. Yeah, right!

PS – Did I mention I need a phone? You guessed it: “DON’T BUY”, upgrades soon!”

If I needed to see what the buyers guide said, I could click on the link up top.

Thanks for this waste of a thread.

In other news, macrumors.com is now posting rumors about Apple.

so what exactly is the point of this thread?

this reminds me of those threads when it says a new OS update has been released, and 100 people post "downloading now" replies.

we don't need a post explaining every waking thought you have

Alright, alright. I was just trying to make a point. Gee... !

When people are coming from the "Windows" world, or perhaps in the market for any of the products Apple manufactures, a good idea is to read forums.
I regard MacRumors as one of the best I've seen. It happens to include a "buyer's guide", which helps significantly. I find it interesting that most of the best products Apple makes are due for an Upgrade almost all at the same time. That's it. Pure and simple.

But by all means, moderators go head and delete this "wasted" thread with no meaning what so ever.

And by the way, a definition of "Forum" is a public place where people participating may talk about topics made from the discussions.
