Hello!

Could you please help me decide which macbook pro i should get!?

alternative 1: 2011, 13 inch 2,3 i5, 4 gb ram and 5400 rpm hdd ( ssd additional)

2: 2010, 15 inch 2,4 i5, high res anti glare, 8 gg ram, 128 ssd

benchmarks: 13: 5900
15: 4900

needed for office, ps 5 and aperture, and the whole daily things

is the performance difference important?--> i don´t do video editing.

thanks

depends what you want, bigger screen the 15"

if you want faster CPU get the 13"

you can get the 8GB ram chip kit for the 13 for ~45-50 bucks they have been on sale a few times in the past few weeks at newegg

I use mine for lightroom / CS5 I got the 13 and put a SSD & 8GB of ram in there and am pretty happy, and I came from an i7 desktop benchmarking 11600 on the scores which is double what I get now. To process RAW files take a little longer but its not that bad.

For ps5 and aperture, I'd go with faster processor but that's just my opinion. I like the 13" screen, but if you would have asked me a year ago if I would have wanted a 13" screen I would have probably told you that you were crazy! LOL! Now, I don't know why I ever needed anything bigger. The resolution on this thing is gorgeous! The difference between the 13" and 15" is just not worth the money to me. If I REALLY needed the screen real estate, I would go with a 17".

15 inch hands down. Especially since you've listed the hi-res. The 1280x800 screen is REALLY lackluster, even by PC standards. It's actually below average.
