I'm contemplating running down to my local Apple Store for a Macbook, so I checked the Buyers Guide and it says now is a good time to buy, but is it? I was under the assumption we would be getting aluminum Macbooks in early June? Or would that simply be when they were introduced and they would ship later on? I'm really hesitant to fork over on another plastic laptop. Apparently, according to posts on here, the cases are very prone to cracking.

ETA: It looks like, reading through a lot of posts here, many people are saying aluminum is even more fragile than plastic? How is that possible? Are we referring to dents?

The buyer's guide is based solely on the past update cycles as far as I know. Bring your own speculation.

I'd say Alu MacBooks in June are unlikely, but that's just my guess.

And yes, I think people are talking about dents, although I never had a problem with my PowerBook but I was always careful with it.
