Well, considering the old MBP was updated every seven months whilst the new one is updated every ten months, maybe it was an automatic change of color that was corrected manually?
Probably the don't buy triangle is off because its only approaching end of cycle and its not there yet. I suspect if you don't see a refresh in the next few weeks, we'll not see anything until 2012.
If you go through the buyers guide you see that its more of an exception to see an update in October, most of them are no later then September. Yeah there's a few there on the various models but like I said its more of the exception then the rule.
