I am getting ready to purchase a laptop and I'm curious as to whether or not I should get a new Macbook (13 inch, 2.0GHz, 1GB, 80GB Hard Drive, $1,299) or a refurbished Macbook Pro (15 inch, 2.0 Ghz, 512MB, 80GB Hard Drive, 1,349)? The Macbook advertises a dual layer drive. If this can burn Dual layer DVDs that would be a big selling point, but it's not anything I can't live without I guess. I primarily use my G5 for music purposes from collecting to making so I want to be able to do that as well on my laptop. If any one can help me sort out this situation I would really appreciate it. I'm looking for something that won't be obsolete in a few years also.
Thanks in advance,
Craig

i'd go with the MacBook in your case because of the 1GB memory compared to the 512. if you do music stuff, the 1 GB memory will help. Also, if you want to end up burning dual layers, you can always buy an external burner later.

The MBpro has a little nicer video card which you shouldn't need.
