I bought my 2014 MBP thinking at a later date I could connect a 4K monitor and run it at 60Hz but from what I have read its not possible so I'm thinking about buying a 2015 MBP 13" for the extra resolution.

How is the performance of the 2014 Macbook Pro 13" 16GB Ram / 512GB Storage vs 2015 Macbook Pro 13" 16GB Ram / 512GB Storage ?

How is the performance of a 4K monitor running at 60Hz with the 2015 Macbook Pro 13" 16GB?

Performance is slightly snappier (but not all that noticeable). I'm comparing it with my late-2013 13" and early-2015 13", both i7/16/512.

4K performance is much better on the 2015 model, but there're still some stutters here and there in Yosemite, but not so much in El Capitan.
