21" iMac 2.5Ghz Quadcore, 2TB, 8GB ram, 512mb video card, used since October. Buyer wants $1200 + Shipping for it.

too much for a 2011 iMac?

I would say....

Not so much a super deal, not knowing about warranties still going in the machine, cosmetic or functional issues and type of use/care on the machine. Barely qualifies for me for a normal deal, because the above said.

Yeah it was a base model 21" 2011 model with a 2TB upgrade and 2x2GB ram modules installed. no applecare but has the one year left. they were initially asking 1400$ for it but they offered to lower it to $1200.

I mean good deal for the seller if they get it, but with the other ones coming out $1499 for a 1TB 21" 8gb of ram better graphics card...not sure its a very tempting offer.

not a good deal

not a good deal

even if I can get the applecare plan? the standard warranty is in place just not the extended warranty. 1200 does seem a bit high, though 1100 + the cost of a 2TB drive and getting it installed almost seems similar or more ?

Mac2sell.net - lists it at $930

Personally the 2TB upgraded doesn't matter to me. If you need / want that - then you may go for it.
