Buying 3Gs From Apple Online?

When you guys bought your iPhone from online, what did you have to do to get it going? None of my apple stores have it in stock, so I am thinking of purchasing online.

Just go to the online store, it will take you step by step. Doing it again for hubby tonight.

Nah, it gets pre-configured and sent to you. So the bottom flap might be open. But you'll need to go to iTunes to do the rest (set up as a new or restore from backup).

I cancelled my online order and went to the local store because there was like no line.

If you order from Apple.com, it comes sealed in the original Apple shrinkwrap. They just drop it into a brown box. The IMEI, SIM #, and Serial Number are all on the outside of the box and they just scan the barcode.

Only thing missing is the pretty Apple shopping bag and a fancy receipt. You just get a plain white sheet of paper as your invoice.
