Buying 5s

I am going to be ordering the 5s online on the 20th, if I go into a Apple store around 6PM (earliest I can go) and they have them in stock, can I buy it in store and have them cancel my online order right there, no problem?

Also would like to put here, in case someone from Apple is reading this: **** you for not taking pre orders Apple.

Why don't you order online and do a store pick up a couple days later?

I called both Apple stores near me, they both said they are not doing in store pickups for online orders.

Well that sucks! I would just keep your online order to avoid complicating things. Do you really need the 5s in your hands on the 20th? Is your current phone disabled in some way?

Apple store...day of launch...6pm on a Friday... Last place I'd want to go I'd rather wait for an online order to arrive in 1-3 days than go through that. Just my preference.
