Hi all,

I lost my charger (60w, for my macbook), and I need a new one. From the apple store it's ~70 dollars, and on ebay I can find, with a quick search, chargers in the 20 dollar range with ~5 dollar shipping. I'm not sure if these are even claimed to be apple chargers; some seem to be, others are obviously 3rd party creations.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone could offer me some helpful information, such as whether any of the cheaper chargers on ebay will work and not damage my Mac. Thanks a lot!

Just make sure you buy one with MagSafe; since Apple is the only ones who make MagSafe chargers, I don't see how you can get a new one cheaply.

There are many that claim magsafe, such as here

Does anyone know anything about this and similar offerings? Would they work fine with my mac?

Thanks!
