Buying a gutted/broken white macbook

Hello! First post but a seasoned mac user etc!

I am working on a project at the moment and I need a whole white macbook, im talking just the outer casing, key board, trackpad and screen etc. When closed it needs to look like a perfectly formed macbook but I am not interested in the innards at all.

I have looked on ebay and there are a couple of examples, but I'm wondering if you lot can suggest any other websites that sell this kind of kit? Preferably in the UK as I am based here. I am looking to spend around £100, £150 at a push!

ebay really would be your best bet as most other sites completely break them down for parts

hmmm, wish i could give u names or sites off the top of my head, but i cant recall in details.

But, check with a local computer/electronics recycling depot, they may be able to help you.

Just out of interest what is this project? Sounds interesting and ebay is probably your best bet.

thank you for all the advice! i actually managed to get a fully formed but broken macbook on ebay for £70 - no hard drive either. The plan is to gut it, seal it up and make it into a compartment so to speak, it will look like a macbook but inside, under the keyboard and trackpad will be a compartment - boom! Might not work but I'm going to give it a damn good go!!!

hahaha no I will not be smuggling things onto planes!! It is part of a project at uni, I will probably be posting up some pics on my blog when it is finished so I will post the link up then!
