Buying a iPhone 4S with iOS5

I'm eligible for my upgrade on Dec. 2, and am highly considering buying the 4S. At what point will the 4S be shipped with 5.0.1 on it? I really only want to buy it if it has iOS5 because correct me if I'm wrong, the untethered JB will be for ios5 and not 5.0.1 right?
 
Mine turns up tommorow and i ordered a couple days before 5.0.1 but phone was not sent out until friday night. If mine has it on then yours def will.
