I have found a 15 inch Macbook Pro Retina (Iris Pro) with 16GB of RAM and the 1TB flash drive for 1500$ (Canadian). I am planning on gaming at home with it using Steam In Home Streaming from my main PC and doing light video editing and also basic usage.

Any advice as to how it should perform with general tasks and Steam in Home Streaming (native display resolution) with this computer on Iris Pro? Is it a good price?

Any Mac model made in recent years can easily handle that workload.

As a starting point, you can check Mac2Sell, eBay (including completed sales), and Amazon for prices of similar models, to get an idea of what a reasonable price may be. Don't check just once source, but get an average from all sites for a more accurate idea. Some sites may be higher/lower than is realistic. Then adjust the price to account for condition, configuration, remaining AppleCare coverage (if any), etc. If the model is recent enough, you can also check the Apple refurbished store to see what similar models are selling for.
