Buying a Mac next week, should I?

Hi everyone,

My parents and I will go to Los Angeles next week and i am thinking of buying a MacPro and a 24 inch monitor display, but currently i only own an old macbook and i need a desktop machine for multi-purpose. So i am opting for a MacPro but i was just wondering if there will be an important upgrade in performance in the machine or should i wait later in the future for another chance to go overseas again ?

I haven't seen any rumors circulating about the Mac Pro being updated in the near future, so I wouldn't be too worried about that. The Mac Pro is the most "future-proof" Apple you can buy, so if they are updated and you think you would like the updates it shouldn't be too hard for you.

Out of curiosity, what will you use it for? Because iMac's are more than powerful for the average user.
