Buying a Mac Pro, Need to copy my HD from old computer to new one, Advice.

I have an iMac that I am going to sell once my Mac Pro arrives. I want to pretty much clone my iMac HD to the Mac Pro HD. Can this be done with the data migration? Ive seen the window on the install but never used it. Whats the best way to go about this. Thanks

Yes, the Migration Assistant is a clean and easy way to accomplish this

When setting up your new Mac Pro it will ask you if you want to transfer your stuff. Just click yes, and follow the instructions on screen. You will need a firewire cable.
