if i buy a macbook pro with just 2gigs of ram will i be able to upgrade it to the 8 gigs at a later time? Have they figured out how to use all that ram yet?

Yes, you will. The current Macbook Pros can support up to 8 GB of RAM.

Yes and yes.
It uses the ram, whether running windows via bootcamp or emulation to running your office programs and design programs. Games as well.
 
well i guess my assumption is that it will be cheaper to buy it with two gigs, then upgrade rather than pay 700 dollars for all 8 gigs preinstalled... is this right then?
