Hi! First post! Yay, haha!

I'm planning on buying a 15 inch 2.2GHz Core i7 Macbook Pro. And i was wandering which upgrade i should get or which would be better...The High Res Glossy Screen or the 750GB (7200rpm) HD. I was also wandering since i will be buying it in Feb/March should i wait till the next release?

Thanks :)

The HDD can be upgraded for less by yourself, the screen can't. If your eyes are okay, go with the High Res screen.

The next update is expected in May / June 2012. It promises some speed boost, but depending on your computational needs, it might be irrelevant.

Welcome to Macrumors.
"Which Upgrade is better" Is subjective.
I would probably get the display as it is not user replaceable. .
Know one knows when the Macbook Pro's will be upgraded, but they just were.

+1.... That said some children are helpful.

Some, but only the ones not near me. I am one of those unregistered pedophobes, as the city I currently reside has so many fantastic parents with so many fantastic children, that Christmas is a blessing, due to them shipping off to the south.

But I get what you are saying. It could also be a twentysomething or fiftysomething. It could even be a pet. You know, one of those cats, that love out loud.

Buy now...if you wait till April 2012 in 280 days from then it will always be an upgrade from Apple:cool:

I wouldn't wait for the update coming in 2012 it may be irrelevant for your needs, so buy it in Feb/March if you need it then :). And i'd go for High-res screen since the HDDs are user-replaceable can be done quite easily. :D
