Hey Guys I'm a Windows user, I'm willing to buy a Macbook Pro 15" because I need it for music (Mainstage), as my first mac ever, I only love powerful hardware that can last for some years and that gives me some doubts about buying it now(this year) because there are rumors of AMD Ryzen processors for MBP 2018 which would increment the number of cores, but nothing of this a confirmed news.

1. do you know when will be released the next MBP?
2. what do you recommend doing?

i was looking for the 2.9GHZ model but here in italy it costs €4000, do you where is it cheaper or any shop that ships international or here in europe with cheaper prices?

thank you.

With the new body style coming in late 2016 and a hardware refresh in mid 2017, it's very unlikely that there will be a radically different model in the next two years. You're much more likely to see more small CPU/GPU bumps than an entirely new architecture.

If you need one now, buy it now.

New MBP's middle of next year.

You will be surprised at the abilities of the MBP but remember that if you need many instruments plugged in 16gb RAM is the limit and that won't change until next year. Core count doesn't mean that much for music recording CPU is rarely the bottleneck these days.

Im from italy also and i buy this year MacBook 2015 15inch by 2300euro because of the price of the new one 2017 :(

it's too expensive in here

Why don't you fly to a cheaper European country for the day and buy one? You can get flights for well under $100 now. I bought my last MBA while on holiday in America because it was 25% cheaper at the time.

I would do, just don't know where to find a better price, have any idea ?

The UK has the 15 inch 2.9 with 512gb SSD for £2700 all taxes included. With the exchange rate at almost 1 to 1 euro to pounds at the moment that's a big saving.

I think if you order online for collection in a store, you can specify any keyboard you like.

Looks like you can, just takes a couple of weeks...

How much would a flight be to the UK?

With the current flight pricing situation you may even be able to fly further like America or the UAE and get it tax free and overall it would work out even cheaper.

Haven't checked it, but its possible.
