Buying a macbook

Hi There,

My friend is looking to sell his 2008 macbook to me for $900 here are the stats. Is it worth it?

2.4 core 2 duo
4bg ram (supports 8)
128g SSD
nvidia 9400m integrated gpu and a nividea 9600m with 256s ram

For just over $300 more you could get brand new macbook pro...if you really like his (nvidia,and ssd as factors),maybe offer him $700

do you think i will be able to run mountain lion on it ok? i dont want to spend that kidn of money on something and have it not run anything a year from now

apple just posted needed specs for mountain lion...

Thanks for the info. Looks like it will run it but probably be obsolete soon enough. Maybe i'll buy a newer one.

I'll sell you my White Mid-2010 Macbook with 4GB RAM, a 64GB SSD and a 250GB HDD in an Optibay for less than that. I'm getting an Air for school. Message me if interested.
