I'm very aware of the software difference in that .exe files won't work on Macs, but you can still run bootcamp to have windows programs. Even still, I'd rather have Windows 7 (as the version that bootcamp runs) than Vista, but I don't want to have to pay for the Windows 7 DVD, but rather have it when I buy the laptop (with a PC in this case) since I hear Windows 7 fixes a lot of glitches. Same goes for Microsoft Office, I'd have to buy it all over again for a MacBook, or can I still use the same code (that can be used 3 times) that I have for my PC version Are these software problems generally fixable? I want to switch but I really think these software dilemmas might cause problems.

There's no reason to pay for microsoft office mac or pc.

Download open office for mac

I'm currently running the Windows 7 RC on my MacBook Pro.

As for office, you have three choices:

1) Use the one you have now on the windows partition.
2) Download NeoOffice or OpenOffice, which are free, open-source office software.
3) Buy it for Mac.
