Buying a movie having rented it?

I rented a movie and later decided I would like to buy it - HD on Apple TV. When I first selected it the option was there to buy it, however, having rented it and then later deciding to buy, the buy option no longer appears. Anything I can do?

im kind of confused by your questions, but there is no way that you can buy movies on Apple TV, you can only rent. You can buy TV shows, but not movies

You likely can purchase the movie in SD, but Apple does not currently offer the ability to purchase the movie in HD.
