Buying a new LCD screen... Which one is best?

A friend of mine recently bought a new MacBook Pro (13") and I immediately noticed how much nicer his screen was. Much better viewing angles and blacks that are actually black. Makes mine look horrible. I know that I have the 9C89 screen.

What screen would you guys say is best?

13" UMB: 9CA5, 9CA6 (heard this one is bad), 9CA7, and 9CA8
13" MBP: 9CA0, 9CA1, 9CBD, 9C9F, and 9C9E (heard this one is bad)

Well after researching lots, it seems that the 9C9F screen is the best.

It's made by LG-Philips: LP133WX3-TLA1

So now the question is... Will I be able to install this LCD panel in my notebook with out any problems? Has anyone replaced the screen in their MB with a newer one? Any info would be great!!!

i just swapped out a r32 into a r40 (ibm) (just the lcd) no problem, i have no problem just getting into it, some one have a you tube on mac logo, it looks simple.. where did you find the info on which screen is better..

those are not real model numbers, just apple codes. I don't keep track of what any of that nonsense means.

Find a REAL(not knockoff, or "100% compatible ebay bullcrap") AU Optronics B133EW04 V.0. They look nice.

according to a lot people the MBP have the LG or philips and they look good. i think theres once 4-5 companys that makes lcd screen for macs so you wont find a knockoff, just look for the best price out there..

Oh yes, you will find knockoffs.

A lot of eBay auctions and even resellers are selling "or equivalent" screens which are a long way from being equal to the nicer LG/AUO panels!!
