In the past it was easy to buy phones in the US if you were there and use them in other countries. Living in the UK, tech can be pricey! Given this year the phone does not have any sim slots, can this still be done? i.e. buy an iphone 14/14 pro in the US and use it in the UK with a UK esim from a provider like EE or Vodafone?

thanks!

From what I can tell it should be doable. Though if you run into an issue and the device needs to be replaced that could potentially be a problem since there is no SIM tray on US models.

Additionally, it's apparent that Apple reached out to the US carriers ahead of time to help smoothen out the eSIM process. UK carriers may not be as well equipped to handle eSIM-only iPhones at this time which is also a potential concern.

Order a Hong Kong 14 dual nano sim from Expansys. My husband ordered one for me from them. I won’t use a phone without a physical sim.
