I realise that it sounds crazy to consider purchasing a full price series 7 AW just days before the 8 is launched, but I'd appreciate some advice. Here's the background:
  • It will be my first ever AW. And I plan to get one with cell connection (a key attraction is being able to go out without my phone).
  • I prefer the Ti model because in the past I've occasionally (not always) had some skin reaction to watches, but never with my current mechanical titanium watch.
  • The UK website (where I am based), has the natural Ti 7 currently available.
  • I have relatively thin wrists and don't like chunky watches, so was going to get the 41mm.
  • From the rumours, it sounds like there might not be a series 8 Ti in the small size.
  • If I wait until launch, I don't know if the Apple website will still have the series 7 Ti or will they take it off the website - and the titanium isn't sold by third parties as far as I can see.
The way I see it, either I buy a series 7 Ti now, or I take the risk that in a week there will be no suitable Ti version and then get an aluminium (I don't want the SS) and hope that my skin can take it. Of course I'll feel stupid if I do get the 7 now and then in a few days a suitable 8 Ti is released at same price. What do you suggest? .

I’ve just looked in the Uk store and I can’t see the Sri in stock at all?

Edit: Ti/Ti is available

Well, I went ahead and ordered a natural Ti 41mm on Friday night, just before they became unavailable. Seeing that the 8 has no extras I would want, I'm going to keep my new series 7 Titanium and first ever AW - it arrives Friday!
